How_to_sort_out_bad_books

The first thing I do when I hear about a book is going to goodreads and look at the synopsis. If FBI or CIA is mentioned, I don’t bother. If the book is part #4 in the series of Detective X, I don’t bother. If the word serial-killer is mentioned, I don’t bother.

If the book seems to be about one person taking on the entire police-force and maffia.. I look elsewhere.

If Trump is mentioned every five pages.. I stop reading (Bye Holly!)

Example: ‘Good Girls Don’t Cry’ by D.K. Hood.

“a gripping and addictive serial killer thriller (Detectives Kane and Alton, Book 26)”
(nope!)
